Do you push for a decision or check the details? Explore your work style

In the same meeting, someone wants a decision, someone offers three ideas, someone checks whether the team agrees and someone examines the data. Where do you recognise yourself? Crelto invites you to notice how you work today.

A conversation about how you work

  • Explore four styles and what each can contribute to collaboration.
  • Receive strengths, watchouts and practical recommendations.
  • You may have a mixed profile and respond differently in another context.

Four styles, four useful contributions

The Crelto form uses a custom reflection model with four styles: result-oriented, expressive, supportive and analytical. They are reference points for discussing preferences, rather than four categories everyone must fit into. No style is presented as superior.

How the four styles might appear in a project
StylePossible contributionSomething to watch
Result-orientedClarifies the goal and moves work towards a decision.May set the pace before others can contribute.
ExpressiveBrings ideas, energy and ease in conversation.May need a separate step for priorities and following up commitments.
SupportiveListens and seeks collaboration that works for the people involved.May postpone a difficult conversation or expressing disagreement.
AnalyticalChecks information, criteria and details.May keep checking when a small trial would be useful.

Illustrative examples from Crelto’s reflection model. They do not necessarily describe every person and are not psychometric findings.

Answer for a real working week

Think of recent situations: how you start a task, choose between options, participate in a meeting or respond to change or a tight deadline. Choose the option closest to your usual behaviour. The answer that sounds best is not always the most useful one for you.

If you are not working now, use an experience from study, projects, volunteering or previous work. Keep the same reference point throughout the form. If you have completed your basic information, the assessment shows and lets you update the context being used.

Work is one context; home is another

You may ask for precise criteria on a project and spontaneously suggest an outing with friends. Family life may involve other responsibilities and a different pace. The form concerns your stated work preferences in the period you have in mind; it does not claim to describe all your roles.

Your result may be mixed when answers indicate close preferences. Even a predominant result is not a fixed label. Experience, your role and how you choose to work may produce different answers later. There is no type to defend; there are useful things to notice.

Turn an observation into easier collaboration

  1. 1

Choose a strength you want to use

You might open a conversation, clarify a deadline or check an important condition. Connect the idea to a specific task.

  2. 2

Choose one small habit to adjust

Ask a question before deciding, write down the next step after a discussion or agree in advance when checking will end.

  3. 3

Discuss your result without labelling others

Try “Clear criteria help me decide”, and ask your colleague what helps them. Avoid “You are this type, so you always do that”.

A reflection exercise without psychometric validation

The Crelto assessment is not a diagnosis, clinical test or recruitment instrument, and does not measure a person’s ability or worth. Its recommendations start from self-reported answers.

Keep your result in your account

You can complete the form without an account. Register or sign in for your result, then find it in Assessments alongside your answers. The card shows progress and lets you continue or edit. Completing the assessment again preserves the earlier result too.

If you are also considering working for yourself, continue with the business-readiness assessment. Work style can open a conversation about collaboration; it does not replace checking customers, resources and responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have more than one style?

Yes. The form can show a mixed profile when preferences are close. Read the strengths and recommendations together.

Which style is best for an entrepreneur?

The assessment does not select a winning style or decide who can be an entrepreneur. Each reference point offers useful contributions and things to watch in collaboration.

Why might my result change later?

You answer for current behaviour and context. A change in role, experience or reference point may lead to different answers. Use comparisons for reflection, rather than as a verdict.
