You have a business idea. Are you ready to start?

You may already have an idea, a few interested people and the desire to work for yourself. The useful question is what you have checked well enough to take your next step. Crelto helps you put those answers together.

What a few minutes can help you clarify

  • Where you have a clear foundation and where you still rely on assumptions.
  • Which personal responsibilities belong in your starting plan.
  • What you can prepare or test before making a larger commitment.

A good idea joins a life that is already happening

Consider this hypothetical example: Ana has a job and wants to start a small cleaning service. She has basic equipment and two people who say they would hire her. She has not yet checked how long a job takes, who can help if she gets sick or whether that interest becomes an order. The example is fictional, but the questions are concrete.

“Am I ready to start a business?” starts with details like these. It invites you to consider your idea, home situation and available resources together. You do not need every answer already. Choosing “I do not know yet” can identify exactly what to clarify.

Three areas to consider together

  1. 1

    Your safety and your family

The questions cover basic income, reserves, family responsibilities, debts and startup money. A separate emergency reserve helps protect your personal budget; the amount depends on your situation.

  2. 2

    Your idea, numbers and limits

Have you spoken to people who would pay? Have you estimated costs and set a loss limit? Your answers distinguish checked information from what you still hope to confirm.

  3. 3

    Resources to build with

Consider the time you can commit, your skills, support and existing obligations. A realistic calendar may change the shape of your first trial.

Check the route to your first customer too

The assessment is a starting point. For your full plan, add a conversation about promotion, selling and collaboration. Market research helps you understand demand and customers’ alternatives; a friendly reaction is not an order.

Three questions to take further

  • How will your first customer hear about the offer, and what specific message will they see?
  • What will you promise, how long will delivery take and how will you ask for feedback?
  • What do you prefer to do alone, and where do you need a colleague, contractor or employee?

If you enjoy independent work, build processes that suit it. If you enjoy a team, clarify roles and who decides. The work-style assessment can start a conversation about your collaboration preferences.

Start with your current situation

You can first complete your basic information: age group, sex, family situation, children, main activity, business stage and main income source. Every question includes a choice not to answer. You do not enter an exact birth date or amounts.

At the start of the assessment, you can see and update the context being used. For example, when salary is your main income source, the transition question reminds you to consider what will happen to it. Age and sex do not contribute to the score.

Turn the result into actions

After signing in, you receive your result, strengths, watchouts and recommendations linked to your answers. Choose one thing to check: a conversation with a potential customer, a cost estimate or a discussion at home about available time. Record what you learn and return with updated answers.

A score organises your answers

This is an educational assessment. It does not predict business success or confirm that you can afford a loan or to leave your job. Important decisions require checking your actual situation and terms.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an existing business?

No. Answer for an idea you are considering. If you already run a business, use your next initiative or change as the reference point.

Can I revisit my answers?

Yes. In your account, Assessments shows your progress, results and an option to edit. Completing an assessment again also preserves your previous result.

Can I see my result without an account?

You can complete the form without an account. To receive and keep your result and recommendations, you need to register or sign in.
