How much does tiling cost in Chișinău and Moldova?

Smaller tiles do not automatically cost less: this very list charges more for tiles up to 40 cm than those up to 60 cm. A rate for a flat surface cannot describe every niche, slope towards a drain or mitred corner. Send the layout and dimensions before asking for a quote.
How do you budget for 24 m² of bathroom tiling?
Worked example, not an offer: assume 24 m² net of walls and floor, tiles up to 60 cm, with the substrate ready. Installation is 24 × 340 = 8,160 MDL. Removing all old tiles adds at least 24 × 80 = 1,920 MDL; machining 3 metres of edges adds 3 × 200 = 600 MDL. These items total 10,680 MDL. Waterproofing, levelling, adhesive, tiles, grout, silicone, waste removal and any transport are outside this calculation.

What should a tiler’s estimate include?
Use identical items in every estimate
- Tile size, layout, net area and number of corners.
- Substrate condition, repairs and waterproofing as separate items.
- Mitred cuts, holes, niches and skirting with their own quantities and units.
- Explicit inclusion of grouting, silicone, consumables and materials.
- Protection, delivery, waste removal and acceptance criteria.
How do you compare quotes in Bălți, Orhei, Ungheni and Cahul?
In Bălți, request one quote from a local tiler and another including travel. For Orhei, provide the address, floor and lift access. In Ungheni, establish who delivers the tiles and handles any shortages during installation. For Cahul, ask whether a crew from another town charges for travel or accommodation. On a job of only a few square metres, the minimum charge may matter more than the unit rate. These are comparison criteria, rather than proven discounts for individual towns.
